Merry Christmas Everyone and to all a Good Year!
Thanks Flashing Lights! Cheery greetings! Cold weather! Family get-togethers! Celebrating Jesus' birthday! These are some
of my favorite things. I wish all of you could come see us this month and let us fix you a cup of hot chocolate, sit by
the fire, and talk about how good God is. Such is contentment.
Since you all can't come see us, I try to keep in contact with you all through emails and newsletters. We try to pray
for everyone on our mailing list and pray for your needs that you tell us about. That's keeping God in contact with
you through us. Such is happiness.
If we let the enemy, he would get us all down in the “mully grubs” thinking about the economy and the unknown
future. Instead of letting him win, we can thank God for our blessings, for knowing He is still in control, lower gas
prices, knowing God is not wringing his hands in desperation in heaven over ANYTHING, and knowing we are still in
those capable HANDS. Let's all just say “Thank you, Lord” together and keep on living with victory.
We've had some wonderful singings/concerts/services since last newsletter.
God's still been with us every concert.
In MS, we drove down to help baby sis, Tonya, get unpacked from her move and celebrate her 40th birthday. While
we were there, we sang at Bro. Hinton's and Bro. Pierce's churches. Wonderful!
Also while we were there, our niece Heather Jenkins McDonald and her husband Todd, fixed a huge seafood feast
for us and Tonya's family. The crab claws were out of sight!
We drove Mom's car so she could go with us and broke down at our Sun PM singing. Todd sent a wrecker and towed
the car to his diesel shop and worked on the car all week, trying to get it road ready. It had several things wrong
with it and we were afraid it would cost around $1000.00 to get it fixed. Some of the parts had to be flown in.
So, imagine our amazement and happy surprise when Todd wouldn't let us or Mom pay him one penny! “Thank you”
doesn't seem like enough to say, but “Thank you” so much.
We were home 1 day, then left for NM where we sang 3 times. We sang at the church where Dad pastored and we count them as our family. My best friend, Ludy lives there with her family and we stayed with her. Mom went with us and we drove her car again, which drove fine. Ludy took us shopping and we bought Angie's birthday gifts and celebrated her birthday. Ludy took us to eat steak that night and we just had a wonderful girls night out. Angie's favorite food is steak.
On that trip, Angie and I both came down with the lung congestion thing, that doesn't want to go away.
So, for the next 2 week ends, we didn't sing. We didn't have to cancel anything, God just worked it out, knowing ahead of time we would have had to push ourselves to drive and sing. Plus our voices have been so hoarse and rough from all the coughing. He always knows best!
It was good to see Betty Snow, one of our supporters from way back, at Jal, NM. She just got serious with God and got saved since we saw her last. Almost 75 years old and finally found the “Pearl of Great Price”. Thank you Jesus.
Colleen Powell came to Lovington to see us. She is always so supportive of our ministry. She is kin to us and I get my reddish hair from her side of the family.
Our Thanksgiving was smaller this year. Several siblings didn't get to come, but Kendyll Jenkins, youngest brother and his family drove in from MS. We always celebrate at our oldest brother's house, Larry and Linda Jenkins, who do a great job hosting the get- together.
The next AM, we got to do something new. Our niece, Jill and her family just moved into their brand new gorgeous house and she host-ed the brunch. Judy, sis #2 helped her, and we all helped eat it up! Mom made homemade biscuits and we feasted again.
Then, Sat PM, we hosted a “Pit party” outside. Ken and his son, Landen age 8, helped gather wood, build a fire and keep it going. They also cooked 10 pounds of taters over the fire. We rode 4 wheelers and enjoyed our time together.

Tonya, Nella and Kyle McDonald at Tonya's 40th BD party at Heather and Todd's house.

We grew up with the Pilcher girls. All of them love to sing as well. Ludy, my best friend, is the one up front. This is the church our parents pastored for so long in Eunice, NM.

Bro. and Sis. Villar pastor at Lovington, NM.
Mom went and sang with us that morning.
Everyone loved her. |

Mom fixed ludy's son, Gus, some curley fries. These are the people Mom and Dad loved and sheperded for so long, so there is a soft spot in Mom's heart for all of them. |

Ludy's front porch, is where we drank coffee every morning and we waited for her to get home from her 1st grade teaching job. She took Angie shopping for her BD, then took us all to eat steak, Angie's favorite food. We had a wonderful girl's night out.

Our oldest brother Larry and wife Linda, always host the Thanksgiving Dinner at their beautiful house in Keller. Here is some of the family. |

More of the Thanksgiving Dinner attendees. Larry is at the head of the table, carving turkey, which he fried cajun style and Linda is elsewhere being busy. The crowd was smaller this year, but none the less BLESSED. |

In Larry's yard, the children worked off some dessert energy by climbing in the trees. Drew is still to young but he wanted in the middle of the fun. |

Linda made her daughter, Heather a special "slinky" t-shirt. It had "cap" sleeves, and a "turlte neck". She's a mess. |

Kylie is Larry's granddaughter, and Angie. |

Judy's daughter Jill hosted Brunch the next day at her brand new house. She's barely got the boxes unloaded, but she had it decorated so nice and the breakfast was delicious. Judy helped of course and Mom made her famous biscuits. |

Some of the "brunch eaters" at Jill and Tommy's house. Drew loved having company to play with. We all watched Mickey Mouse with him later. |

Jackie, Ken's wife and Mom visit, staying close to the warm fire. |

Sat night, we hosted the "Pit Party" where Kendyll and Landen, 7, helped gather wood, build the fire, fry the campfire taters like only the Jenkins' can do, and grilled the steaks. |

Bro. John Pilcher gave us 44 pounds of pecans off their trees. We were so excited, because Angie and Mom bake a lot during the Christmas Holidays. We got them cracked and Mom has peeled lots of them and I've helped. |

Sis Betty loves the Lord and loves to sing. |

We met Hannah, Miss Pre-Teen Texas while we were working at the Texas Motor Speedway. |

Olivia and Angie worked in the cartoon trailer, selling kids NASCAR stuff. |

We had a great time at Movella Assembly of God. |

Todd McDonald cooked shrimp, oysters and crab claws for us. Mmmmmm delicious. |
