The weather outside is frightful.  Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.
Christ the Savior is Born!  Let’s Celebrate His Birthday!

The Jenkins Sisters are praying for you all to have the best Christmas ever and the Happiest New Year of all.  You are all so special to us and we’ve grown to love our faithful supporters, prayer warriors, fans, family and friends.  God Bless one and all.

We had a great Thanksgiving.  It was a small one this year, as several of the “young-un’s” as Mom calls us, didn’t get to make it.  Our youngest brother, Ken and his family came from MS.  While he was here, he did some work for Mom, like clean out her fireplace flu.  He and his son Landen and daughter Kenzie, cut up some fallen branches for me and Mom for firewood.  It was greatly appreciated.  I got to watch the Cowboys’ game with my brother and that was special.

Rhonda, Jenkins Sister #4, and her family from Texarkana, TX, made it.  While here, they were such a help.  Bobby and Ryan picked up a big heavy desk I had bought at a garage sale, and moved it inside, which was a huge job!  Ryan even ripped his new pants and I’ve promised to give him money for a new pair.  Bobby proceeded to hook up my computer and 4 of my printers.  (Yes, I‘m blessed with printers.  People have given them to me and I use them all!  Nothing greedy about me).  While they were here, I was vacuuming, and Rhonda says “you’re not picking up anything”.  So, they worked the vacuum cleaner over and it works better than ever!  Ranessa made sushi 2 times while here and I loved it.

Judy, sis #2 lives close so she was here.  She so sweetly bought Mother and me some much needed wood, cut, split, delivered and stacked!  What a huge blessing.  We’ve enjoyed the wood burning fireplace so much and it cuts down on electricity a lot.  Judy’s daughter Jill and grandson Drew made it over to visit and Drew stole everyone’s heart.  We just found out, Drew is gonna have a baby sister or brother next year.  YES!

Larry and Linda, oldest brother and wife, went to MS this year, but brought back a nice set of mattresses for my bed.  I’ve had mine for 47 years, and I guess they thought I needed a new set…..LOL.  But my bed is just a full size and those are queen.  So, I’m praying about a new bedroom suite.
But, that’s not all Larry brought us.  He gave us a nice big wood holder for the back porch, and newer dog house, which my doggy with her 2 new puppies love.  He also made an outdoor grill, welding it all himself and made a nice box for us to carry it in the bus.  WOW.  What a nice gift for us to enjoy for many years.   Also a long welded fire poker to stir the fire.  Thanks a bunch!

OTHER NEWS

Thank you all for praying in our miracle of getting the RV out of the shop.  When we went to pay for the bill, sure enough it was over 1300.00.  We wrote the check Friday and headed out to sing, hoping for a good week end to cover the check and expenses.  Well, the expenses were covered, but we were around $800.00 short.  Angie was having a nervous fit, but I knew God had never let us down before.  Sure enough, Monday, we got a check for almost $800.00 from an unexpected source, totally surprising!  God likes to work when nothing else will!  We  Praise Him!

Angie’s birthday turned out good.  We ate at a seafood place and took her shopping at some thrift stores and antique places, which she loves to do.  Larry and Linda fixed supper for her and we had delicious smoked meat, Larry’s specialty.  8 year old Kylie, their granddaughter made Angie a cake and that made it real special.  I don’t cook, so I suggested Angie make herself one of her delicious chocolate pies, which she did.  Yummy.  She wanted new window blinds, so I bought her a Wal-Mart gift card.  She took it and bought Thanksgiving groceries with it instead.  I told her I was gonna spank her.  Judy and Mom were gonna take her to Texas Roadhouse, her favorite steakhouse, but we have been too busy to take her.   Maybe in January, when things slow down we’ll get to take her.

God Bless the Supporters!

Thanks to the churches where we've been!

Faith Tabernacle with Bro. Harley Martin is always a spiritual blessing.  We were there Sunday AM and PM.  They took us to eat in between services at one of our favorite places, Vance Godby’s.  Our bus was in the shop, so thanks for letting us use your system!

A new place, Calvary Temple A/G in Mesquite with Bro Vickery included an awesome Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings.  We used their system as well.

River of Life
in Denison with Sis. Carol Manery is talent packed.  She plays the piano unreal, but better than that can pick a guitar to death.  We love going there.  Thanks Ronny for filling in on “He Touched Me”.  Awesome! Damon helped load up and Sis. Carol took us to IHOP.

Sulphur Bluff A/G with Bro. Paul Newby is one of our “filling stations”.  We never come away spiritually hungry.  They always have something special we need.  After church we had brisket and all the trimmings.  Bro. Paul got a new convertible sports car and I went on about it so much, he took me riding.  Heater full blast, Bose speakers cranked up, we whizzed around county roads so fast my head was spinning and my hair will never be the same.

Hendrix Trio in Texarkana always have a Christmas Spectacular.  This year they raised money to put carpet on Buchanan BC stage in the family life center.  Several groups participated.  Ryan Hendrix, (Clean Sound) our 18 year old nephew ran his new sound system.  What a wonderful job Brent Gregg did, teaching him.  We helped load it all back up and I don’t miss those days of heavy equipment, I can tell you!

Springs of Living Water in Timpson with Bro. Bowley was cold!  We were so glad to have the RV.  The heat felt so good while we were changing clothes.

We’re praying for a busier, more fruitful year in 2010.  Angie is working on bookings for the New Year and needs your help.  If you know a church or venue that would like to have us sing, we still don’t charge a fee. (Thanks to our faithful supporters this is still possible).  We travel on a love offering basis.  Email Angie at angie76117@yahoo.com

Good to see Brent Gregg, former lead singer, and his wife, Angela.  They visited us during Thanksgiving.
